Cyprus
Hello, my country is Cyprus and its capital is Nicosia.
The official languages are Greek and English.
At the moment the political system is a Parliamentary Republic. The president is Dimitris Christofias that was the prime minister.
The population of this country is about 0.8 million of person, and the total area is 9250 Km.
Cyprus is the largest island in the eastern Mediterranean and is situated south of Turkey. The two main mountain ranges are the Pentadactylos in the north and the Troodos in central and south-western part of the island. Between them is the fertile plain of Messaoria.
The currency of Cyprus is the euro, and it has been a member of the European Union since 2004.
In Cyprus the most popular dish comes to be composed of up to 30 different foods. The Mézé consists of a sample of all specialities that have been cooked in a restaurant or inn along that day. Tradition tells that they can serve all: tickets of various kinds, salads, moussaka, kebabs, fresh fish, chicken and even desserts like baklava and lokoumades (embedded oriental sweets honey).
if you want to know more about this rich dish you have this link here: Cyprus food
Finally, I'd like to live there, because Cyprus is very beautiful and Cyprus has wonderful beaches and many cultural sites to visit.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to visit it for a holiday and eat all the food that you mention!
