Ireland

Ireland is a country located in Europe, in front the west coast of Britain. It has an area of 70182 square kilometres and has a population of 4,000,000 inhabitants.

The capital of this country is Dublin, a city which has a population density of 56.91 inhabitants per square kilometre. Dublin is well known by the River Liffey.

Irish is the official language. This language is spoken as first language by people, mostly in the western part of the island. Most of the Irish speak English. The flag has three vertical stripes and his colours from left to right are green, white and orange.

The Republic of Ireland is situated in the North Atlantic and is separated from Britain by the Irish Sea. The north-eastern part of the island is part of the UK. The country has a central plain surrounded by a lot of mountains and hills, where some of the most stunning scenery in Europe. Moreover, the island has some beaches and towering cliffs. The total length of the Irish coastline is 5,600 km. Ireland has a wet and cold climate because it is near the North Pole.

The Irish are very sociable people, and everywhere animated conversations can be heard anywhere in the country, visitors will be welcomed. The dinner, afternoon or evening, is the most important meal. People wear casual clothes. However, women tend to dress up to go to a restaurant or social event. The handshake is the most common way of greeting.


Most of the population is Christian and his political system is the Republic. They got its independence from Britain in 1920.

I wanted to go to Ireland because that sport is much practiced among the Irish and I could teach people to practice a new sport for them: judo.

    I'm sorry but I don't understand what you say about Judo or any other sport!!
