The Philippines is an archipelago comprising over 7,100 islands and islets located on the south-east coast of the Asian continent, his name is derived from that of King Philip II of Spain. His capital is Manila and his population is 88.574.614 people. The country has an area of ​​approximately 300,000 km ². The nation is divided into three main regions: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. 
The Philippines official languages are English and Filipino but Spanish is also spoken because it was Spanish colony. The official and majority religion is Catholicism, introduced by Spanish missionaries but there are also Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism, Hinduism... The political system of the Philippines is a republic. 

The typical food of Philippines is the "Kar-Kare" (a stew of oxtail), prawns with coconut and the dessert "Halo Halo".
