Germany

Germany

-Germany has borders with Poland, Czech republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark.

-Germany is a federal republic whose capital is Berlin. Its population is 82 million inhabitants. Its currency is the Euro and this country is the world's third largest economy. Its official language is German and, if you are born there you are a German, and you must love beer.

-After the Second World War, Germany was divided into the democratic West and the communist East. The Berlin Wall became the symbol of this division. It fell in 1989 and Germany was reunited a year later.

-The English word "Germany" derives from the Greek term Germania. The name "Germania" came into use after Julius Caesar adopted it from a Gallic term for the peoples east of the Rhine that could possibly have meant "neighbour", or "men of forests".

-There are so many famous German people:

-Bruce Willis

-Claudia Shiffer

-L.V. Beethoven

  1. Thanks, Emilio.
I've removed my previous comment and also some of the people you mention as popular German people. I think they are not important at all!
You forgot to say if you would like to live in this country or not.
