PHILIPPINES:


The Philippines is officially known as the Republic of the Philippines. It is an Asian’s country. His habitants are the Filipinos. The official languages on Philippines are Filipino and English, other important languages are Spanish and Arabic.

The Philippines has a democratic government. It is a constitutional republic with a presidential system. The official currency is Philippine peso.

Philippines is situated in South-east Asia in the western Pacific Ocean, his total area is 300 thousand km2. The population is about 104 millions of persons. Manila is the capital city, Cebu City in the Visayas and Davao City in Mindanao are other important cities.

After Spanish-American War, the United States took the control of Philippines until the Second World War. In the SWW Japan took this country. Philippines became independent of United States in 1946.

Some popular dishes at Philippines are lechón, sinigang, kare-kare or halo-halo and some local ingredients used in cooking are calamondins, coconuts or saba.

I think I could live there, their customs are not  so  different from ours and I think they have many gorgeous views.
