A summer job.

I'm Rocío, I'm 17 years old and I'm studying Bachillerato. I'm writing in response to the advertisement for a person to take care of young children which appeared in a newspaper on 1 June 2013. I would like to be considered for the position and enclose my CV.

I think I'm the right person for this job because I have had other jobs to take care of young children. When I was 15 worked looking after a boy and his little sister. I have worked in this job for one year. Their mum was very happy with my job.

I am patient, I treat children as my mom taught me , I am organized and hard-working. I would also describe myself as very humble and cheerful: I am the perfect clown to make children laugh. I love children and they love me.

Discussion Essay. Experimenting with animals is immoral.

This topic is very interested to discuss because many people have different opinions about it. Ther are arguments both for and against it.

On the one hand, animals feel pain when humans experiment with them. Humans doesn't worried about the feels of the animals and they only look for their benefit.  

Experimenting with animals is immoral because some animal testing, such as research in to cosmetics, is unnecesary and the people aren't awareness about the bad condition of a few animals testing.

On the other hand, many experiments are necessary to save a lot of lives of human diseases and cure many sick. Scientists have to think that they are doing the best work because they find the way  to save lives.

In my opinion I'm against that the animals be used in unnecessary research and I think it is immoral because animals are too cute to suffer.

A summer job

I am Patricia, I am 16 years old and I am studying Bachillerato. I'm writing in response to the advertisement for a camp monitor. I would like to be considered for the position.
I have experience of organising funny games and taking care of children, I was a camp monitor in other camps and last summer I used to look after children in families and other things, like helping around house.

Animals should not be kept in zoos

Many people have different opinions about keeping animals in zoos. There are arguments for and against it.

On the one hand, zoos are like prisons, it is sad that animals are kept in cages, they can not be free.

In addition,  we make them feel pain and they are often traumatized and  animals suffer like humans. Poor animals!!

To sum up, I strongly believe that animals should be kept only for necessary research not just for pleasure and we could keep them just for a short time. I love animals!

My interview with my best friend

My interview

After much thought I decided not to make interview a famous person if not someone closer to me so that ye may be able check it I can I feel proud to be with people like that.

I have decided to interview a very special person to me, and to which I always shown their support in my hardest moments.

He laughs and a bit of shyness reveals how happy he is

with his life. I asked him what his secret, to what he answered that I was enjoying every moment of life and know how to work hard to be able to appreciate the result of all that work. I also decided to ask him about his future plans, he answered me very proud of himself, that he would study medicine at university next school year in some Andalusian city. That has been been his dream for a long time and is a clear example of fighter and worker.

Later I asked about their aspirations in life he answered be happy and help others among other such as being a good surgeon, learn a language more and travel more frequently.

Finally I told him how happy I am to be at his side and thanked everything he had done for me, he said that he does love me and that he always will be by my side for what I need.

My interview with Mario Vaquerizo

Last week at the Emperador Hotel, in Madrid, Mario and I met, at the moment we became friends. He arrived with his straight hair, his black leather jacket and a beer in his hand.

When we were sitting I asked him many things.

I asked him how he saw himself. He replied he saw himself as a good person too hippie, who loved peace and love and he said “What I want for me also I want for others”.

Then I asked him about his music group called Nancys and he said they would write a new different song  but also funny like the song called Peluquitas.

As I was also interested in the topic of love, I asked him about his marriage to Alaska, he told me that he is very sissy, but Alaska has been one of the best things that he has happened in his life.

Speaking a bit of him and his wife,  he also spoke about his TV program on MTV, he told me he loves the cameras and is making this program about his life where the people can enjoy themselves with his life.

To finish we drank a beer and we continued talking and sharing laughs together.

My interview.

Last weekend I went to  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for have an interview to Malcolm James McCormick known by his stage name Mac Miller. He is an American rapper.

I started the interview asking him at what point in his life he decided to dedicate his career to the music so he answered me that at first he did not take seriously to sing, but when he heard that hip-hop was like a job he took it seriously and he has not stopped since he was fifteen.

After I asked him which was the first song he recorded and with which record label and he asked that it was Rostrum Records and the first mixtape was the K.I.D.S in August 2010. He also told me that his first album was Blue Side Park that came out in November 2011.

Since I asked him if he has ever came to Spain and he answered yes, he came once to Madrid with a friend and he liked it very much, he told me that he would like to return soon and visit other cities in Spain.

Finally I asked him which song he believed that made him famous and his answer was Donald Trump.

I considered my interview finished here because I had to return to Granada. I really loved to make the interview because he was very nice and funny

Professional footballer are overpaid

Many people have strong views about the professional footballer are overpaid . There are some arguments both for agree and disagree.



On the one hand is good the salary for the footballers because they can make the campaigns to promote the sport and can also serve organizates image to charities because they are famous and can make people see that you can help many people.

On the other hand is bad this salary because there are more people more important but not famous doing labor more important for example the teacher: teach the future generations, the surgeon: salvage a lot of lifes, the firefighter and police: keep our security.




In my opinion the professional footballer are overpaid, and I think his salary should be lower because their labor to only entertain their fans and should not have advantages for being famous.

Germany.

Recognised native minority languages in Germany are Danish, Low German, Sorbian, Romany, and Frisian.

German cuisine is also very important. The most important german products are the sausages and the beer.

Twenty-seven million Germans are members of a sports club and an additional twelve million pursue sports individually. Germany is one of the leading motor sports countries in the world.

 Constructors like BMW and Mercedes are prominent manufacturers in motor sport.  

The Bundesliga, the top league of German football, is the most popular sports league in Germany.

                  

MY INTERVIEW WITH MARIA PELÁEZ

I decided to interview a interesting and great person, Maria Peláez.
I asked her what her hobbies were, and she told me that she loved listening music, being with her friends and going shopping. 
I asked her what were her favorite subjects and she replied me English and philosophy.
Then I asked her what she wanted to do in the future, when 
she finished the high school and she answered me that she wanted go to university for study Translators and she told me too that she wanted to travel all over the world. She told me that she wanted to finish the high school as soon as she could because she wanted to study things more interesting.
I asked her how she would like to be her life in the future and she said that she would like live in Canada or in the USA and would like to have a good job. I hope she gets all that she wants because I would love to go to Canada or USA to visit her. I love her<3

A SUMMER JOB

ORAL EXAMS ARE BETTER THAN WRITTEN EXAMS. DISCUSS.

There are a lot of opinions about this topic. There are arguments both for and against it.

Some people defend that oral exams are better because you can express best in them and even the teacher can help a little. Finally they are not as long as written exams.

In the other hand written exams are better because in oral exams you are more nervous because usually you have to do it in front of the whole class. Also in oral exams you can not claim or request a review if you are not agree with your mark.

To sum up I think oral exams are worse than written exams because in oral exams you can not show what you know because you are nervous. Although oral exams are shorter than written exams and they do not have so many questions.

Oral exams are better than written exams.

There are many opinions about oral exams and everybody talks about it, but in fact students, who should be the ones to decide it, cannot agree.

On the one hand, oral exams help students to express themselves correctly, which is a difficult task because students get nervous when they have to talk to a class full of people. Anyway, people who think oral exams are better, defend that it is faster talking than writing, so they can finish their exams on time. Besides, they do not have to worry about the spelling mistakes, which can be an impediment to pass the written exam.

On the other hand, written exams give students more time to think the right answer of each question, and they have the opportunity to correct the mistakes before giving the finished exam to the teacher, which they cannot do in oral exams. Moreover, most students express themselves better in written exams because they can think about what they are writing.

To sum up, I think written exams are easier, mainly because if you cannot remember an answer you can go to another question, and maybe later you remember the last one, instead of losing the opportunity to think slowly about the right answer. And of course, you can write about something connected with the question, and if you are lucky, you can get half the points of the answer. Although, I think oral exams are better in language subjects to learn to speak in other languages.

THE "BOTELLON" ISSUE

It is a place where many young people are aged 15 and above meet to drink alcohol, smoke, take drugs at  weekends. In Granada this place is very popular;  it is located next to the highway and Hipercor.



On the one hand this idea is fine, as this is more controlled and young people do not drink in the rest of the city, and this place is usually controlled by the police, although there are always problems. But it is also a good idea, as the drinks in bars or nightclubs are very expensive.



But this place is always very dirty especially when the spring festival, to which thousands of people attend there are also many children who are not supposed to drink and police do not fine very often.


I think it is a very problematic issue, as  you can only find people drinking, smoking, taking drugs or people in fights.
But most of the time it is OK.

My summer job

I am Concepción  and I am 18 years old. I am writing because I am interested in the job of taking care of horses. I think I am appropriate because I love  animals and nature. I believe the horses and I are very well good together because I am very careful with them all the time.
I think I am the person that you are looking  because I can make some activities with the horses and children with problems for example the Down Syndrome. More people have fun and the families have fun too. I believe the  horses are very calm and the families can relax for a moment.

On the one hand, the zoo animals  are usually dangerous, then it is safe to keep animals in cages. 

Wild animals can not be released when there are humans around because it is dangerous. The zoo would not exist if the animals could not be kept in cages, because they could not e fed or trained.

On the other side,  some zoo animals are not well cared for. Animals must be free and not kept in cages, because it is their nature to live freely in the wild.

Normally the zoo animals suffer abuse, they are hungry. they are forced to live in cages until they die.

The animals that are kept in cages die before,   they are not happy either

To sum up, I think the zoo animals must be cared for and fed correctly. If the animals are kept in cages, the cages have to be good to live.

It would be better not to keep animals in cages, but that's impossible.

A summer job.

Dear Pilar,

I am Fátima  and I am 17 years old.
I’m writing to you because I am interested in the job of taking care of young children.
I think that I am the appropriate person, because I love little children, I enjoy so much working with them, and I am very patient, and I love playing with them as I was little too.

I have so much experience of taking care of children, because my parents have many friends with little kids and they always call me when they have to go and need someone to stay with the kids. I also have a baby nephew, he is 3 months old and he is always very calm when I am with him. My parents always tell me that I am like Wendy in Peter Pan, because I do not want to grow up.

I have planned many activities to do with them, like playing hide and seek, painting, playing football with the boys and Princes and Princesses with the girls, watching Disney movies, playing Daddies and Mommies, wearing costumes and making plays... We can go to the kid's swimming pool, play with water balloons, etc.

I am sure they will not forget me because we will have much fun and they will miss me when I am gone.

My interview with Clive Owen

Last week, Clive Owen came to Granada invited to a great party at Alhambra Palace. I was there with my parents and I decided to get nearer him and ask him some questions I had been thinking about for a long time.
I asked him how he had decided to be an actor and he told me that he had known that he wanted to be an actor since he was a little boy, and that he acted in several school plays. Then I asked him to talk to me about the beginning of his career, and he started to talk, he swore to me it hadn't been an easy beginning because he had needed to work very hard and believed in himself at times when no one would have done it. He told me that he had never wanted to give up because he would have failed himself. Finally I begged him to give me some advice about how I could make my wishes come true, and he did it, he told me to believe in myself and never back down.
I confessed him that it had been the most special and interesting conversation I had ever had, and then I told him a little bit ashamed that he was my favourite actor and that he was even more handsome in person. Then he kissed me on the cheek and he left smiling.
