My grandfather

Last year in my old school, we had to do an interview with a writer we liked and I chose to interview my grandfather (Rafael Guillén)
The first thing I asked him is what kind of books he wrote and he said that he wrote books of poetry. I asked him if he had won any prizes for his poetry and he told me he dad. In fact he had won the National Prize for Literature in 1994, he told me that in the same year, he had previously been awarded among others important prizes: the Prize Leopoldo Panero in 1966 , the Guipúzcoa Prize in 1968, the Prize Boscan in 1968 and the City of Barcelona Prize in 1969 too.

I also asked him if he has devoted all his life to writing poetry and he said to me that he hadn't, at first he worked in a bank of Granada and much later he began to write poetry.

Finally I asked him if my interview was good and he said i was. And it appears that was true because I got a very good mark!!

THE PRESTIGE - one of my favourite movies

THE PRESTIGE

Christopher Nolan is one of my favourite filmmakers. I like him because not only does he direct films, but he is also a writer. He has written many brilliant films like : The Prestige and Inception.( my other favorite movie)

I could talk about the two, but I think that The Prestige is less known than Inception and I think that it is worth that people see it.

So I want to talk about this class of film that after seeing them, you will realize that everything fits and everything makes sense. I want to talk about The prestige.

There are many famous actors in this film. The main ones are: Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Scarlett Johansson.

The movie is about two young magicians who begin working in London in the late nineteenth century. One of them is Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman), determined and sophisticated. And the other is Alfred Borden (Christian Bale), who is a real magician with skills but he is not able to prove it in front of the public. The two friends work together but after a catastrophic accident, which killed Angier´s wife, their relationship turns into enmity and hatred.

I love this film because you have to be attentive to all details, and you have to concentrate because the film jumps in time and you could lose the thread of history.

So I hope that when you see this film you will enjoy as much or more than I did

The telephone

The need for remote communication is as old as man. The invention of the telephone created a world without distances.

The reason of this revolution is Alexander Graham Bell, who in 1876 invented the telephone.

He was born in Scotland, he received his doctorate in medicine and he taught himself to speak well to people with problems with hearing. In one of his experiences noted that, when speaking in front of a thin layer of metal, it vibrated in a way very similar to the voice. By placing the membrane around an electromagnet, the electric flux could repeat what you had said, and could be transmitted by an electric cable.

And he managed to transmit the first sentence of the story told by telephone, which said:
"Mr. Watson, come here, I need you help".

The first plants could accommodate a few subscribers. The terminal operator entered the cable from the caller to contact with someone, the one hand, and the contact that is called in another.

The phone has evolved until the current mobile phones. At first there were phones only in places specialized, then they came to the houses and now they can be transported where you want.
Scientists are still investigating and no one knows what the future holds.

NORWAY

Hi I´m Norwegian and I live in Oslo, the capital of this country.
The official language is Norwegian, a Germanic language.
Norway is a unitary Parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy.
The Population It´s 4.7 million people and the flag is like this:

It´s a Nordic country in Europe occupying the western Northern Portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula, is bordered by Finland to the south and Russia to the east.

The Currency is Norwegian Krone and the total area is 323.802 square kilometres.
Over the centuries IX and XI was Viking and was the unification and expansion of the country. But the Norwegian royal line died in 1387 and the country entered a period of union with Denmark.
Norway remained neutral during the First World War, but was a founding member of the United Nations. It isn't one of the countries of the European Union, but it is part of the European economic area.

Norway also is the mother of many famous people as the painter Edvard Munch, composer Edvard Grieg, the mathematician Caspar Wessel. It has also given the world three Nobel laureates in literature: Bjornstjerne Bjornson, Sigrid Undset and Knut Hamsun.

One of the most habitual ingredients in our kitchen are: fish and whale meat from hunting and the fruits are very popular as the strawberries, apples and cherries.
A very typical and common habit is drinking coffee before and after eating!!
Finally I like living here because It´s a very nice country, but has one drawback: the climate is too cold for me.
