I am writing
in response to the advertisement for a tourist guide which appeared in El
Ideal de Granada last 29th of May. I enclose my CV to the e-mail and
also I would like to be considered for the job.
As you will
see in my CV I have a degree in Biology and I have experience of working in a
laboratory and organizing some science contests. Furthermore, I speak Spanish,
English and German.
I am
suitable for the post because I am organized and active, I would describe
myself as a very good leader who can adapt herself to whichever situation.
I am very
interested in this job because I would like to get more experience and improve
my knowledges about science.
Many people have different points of view about what kind of education is better.
Nowadays, in most of the developed countries there are thousand of schools or collages to choose which can be privates or publics´schools.
First, we should bear in mind that education is a right for people, therefore, state owned schools are giving this opportunity as they are funded by the governments.
On the one hand, state owned schools are free for everybody and they do not make exceptions with anyone, besides, it helps students out to be in contact with all type of people and it will be the context which they will face in the future. However, teachers who work in public schools do not dedicate as personally to the students as in private schools and this may have negative consecuences.
On the other hand, private schools call for an extra payment which some times it is very high, so, students who study in private schools normally belong to families which have a high economic level, and this prevents them to be in contact with other kind of people. Nevertheless, private ºeducacion is more personal, for example, students are allowed to choose other kind of subjects that they can consider "more practical". In addition, they are tought to put into practice what they learn by writing essays about different topics which have been discussed in subjects such as Economy, History, Biology or they really learn the use of Maths.
To sum up, education is an essential right for everyone, therefore, people should support a quality public education which preapares people for the near future. Moreover, state owned schools system should addapt to each student, and dedicate to them more personally. Finally, private school should be only an option (but not the alternative for some families for their children grow up in a more "high level") moreover, private schools should improve the relationship of their students with students from other schools, and thus, make people to share experiences and opinions each others, avoiding that children live in a "protective bubble"
Hello everybody! I decided to interview my mother . To tell the truth I do not look up to anyone, actually-only a couple of famous, pacifist characters- but my mother is the exception.
First, I asked her if she had fulfilled her goals in the life; she told me that she had reached almost everything she had expected. For example, follwoing her career she became a judge, though she preferred to work as a lawyer. Then, she added, she would have liked to study Archaeology too. Nevertheless, she is thinking about retaking that unfulfilled objective in a brief future. Secondly, I told her I wanted to know what values are more important for her, and she answered me they were respect, tolerance and justice but above all, freedom. Besides, she said to me that nowadays it is very important to be and be in touch with open-minded people, as this will ease us to adapt ourselves to any kind of change or society. After this, we spoke about things that she would like to do in the future and surprisingly her answer was moving to a foreign country! Finally, I asked her about what she likes doing in her free time. She replied what she loves most is reading, travelling and spending time with her friends because these three things make her enjoy the life to the fullest.
A street market is an outdoor market where you can find traditional or international products, or really cheap things. We often can find it in squares, even in closed places instead of on a street.
Street markets are really good and nice places to go for a walk and find things to spen your money on.
There are lots of types of street markets, some of them only sell fruits or vegetables, but many others try to sell different and exotic products and thus, bring foreign cultures to every corner in the world.
The biggest and most famous streets markets are found in, London, Hong-Kong, New-Dheli, Tokyo, Greece and Istanbul.
Cyrprus´capital is Nicosia; other famous cities are
Famagusta, Limassol, Larnaca and Kirenya.
Its inhabitants are Cypriote; nevertheless, people who
live in the Southern part consider themselves Greeks and a little part of
population who reside in the Northern part of the isle are considered Turkish
because here there is an independent region known as Turkish Republic of Northern
Cyprus. Therefore, the languages which are spoken in Cyprus
are Greek and Turkish. In Cyprus it is established a democratic presidential
republic (this is asystem of
governmentwhere anexecutive branchis led by a person who serves as bothhead of stateandhead of
government. That person is
usually elected and titled "president", but can also be an unelected
monarch).
Cyprus is
a very small country with an area of 9.250 km²; taking
this into account its population density is considerably high as it has 84
inhabitants per km² and its total
population is about 784.301 citizens in the whole country.
Cyprus does border
with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and with British Sovereign Bases
in Acrotiri y Dekheila. Cyprus belongs to the European Union then; its currency
is the euro as in the rest of member states.
The most important
history facts took place during the XX century, although Cyprus has been
inhabited since the Neolithic period and it also was a part of the Hellas. In addition,
in the Middle Age French and Italians arrived in the isle until the year 1751
when the first ottoman invasion took place. In 1878 the British Empire assumed
the administration of the country. This annexation to the British Empire was interrupted
several times and it lasted until the second half of the XX century, moreover,
Turkey tried to get the control of the isle striving against Great Britain and
finally in 1974 the Turkish army invaded the isle establishing the Turkish Republic
of Northern Cyprus at the beginning of 1975.

Evagoras of Salamis(410–374 BC), king of the city-state of Salamis, conquered much of Cyprus,
but was defeated when rival city Amathous allied itself with the Persian

Alexander the Great. Cyprus welcomed Alexander as a liberator from Persian dominance in 325 BC.
St Barnabas with the
Apostle Paul, brought Christianity to Cyprus in 45 AD.
Selim the Sot The Muslim
sultan drove the Venetians from Cyprus after a 10-month siege.
Archbishop Makarios (1913–77)
led the independence campaign and was Cyprus’s first president.
Traditional Cypriot meals:
Meze: Literally means "small dishes." A style of eating that has
many different courses, but each course contains just a little of each item,
enough for everyone to have a taste.
Feta: A salty, white cheese made from sheep's or goat's milk that is cured
in a brine solution.
Sheftalia: A grilled Cypriot sausage made of pork, lamb, onions and
parsley.
Zivania:
a potent Cypriot alcohol made from
grapes.
Souzouko: a favorite atCyprusfestivals and fairs, it is made by
dipping strings of nuts in heated grape juice until it solidifies.

Finally, I would love to live in Cyprus because it is an amazing country. I love its culture, traditions and overall it is an authentic Mediterranean country. In my view, living in Cyprus would be an interesting experience which I would like to carry out.

It deals with the war, and how soldiers feel when they are involved in it. First, it begins showing how interesting it can be to take part in a war, because you are defending your country and your honour, but as the song goes on, feelings become the opposite, and it shows the reality of war. I'd like to share with you all my new year's resolutions because this year I hope to improve myself a little bit more, and I think that if I write them down here some of you can remind me of them when you think that I'm neglecting them!
-I'm going to spend less money on clothes, cause I really have a serious problem... I'm becoming into a shopaholic!
-I am going to enjoy every moment. Times passes quickly and we must enjoy as much as possible our lives and take advantage of all the opportunities which come to our daily life!
- I am going to keep on travelling. Travelling is my first hobby, since I was very little every year I have gone on a trip at least, and this is what I really like. In my opinion it is an enriching activity and the best way to create open-minded people!
