My interview with Helena Bonham

Last Saturday the English actress Helena Bonham Carter came to Madrid to present her last film Great Expectations. This was a fantastic opportunity to ask her some interesting questions.

I asked her about the shooting with  actors Jeremy Irvine and Ralph Fiennes and she said that she had loved the shooting with them because they are very hard-working and friendly.
I asked her which role had been the hardest that she had ever made. She told me that her hardest role had been in the film The King´s Speech with Colin Firth.

Finally, I asked her if she had read the book Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and she answered me she had not read the book but after the film she began to read it.

A zoo cleaner in Berlin

Dear Pilar,

I am writing in response to the advertisement for a zoo cleaner in Berlin Zoo. I would like to be considered for the position and I enclose my curriculum.

I have experience of caring animals because my family has got a farm and I work there every summer. I also spent time in Kenya to learn about their habits. I am suitable for the post because I am a person hard-working, careful and patient for the animals.

I am available all summer and I would be happy to attend an interview. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Laura

Eating meat is morally wrong

Each person has a different opinion about this controversial topic. There are arguments both for and against about eating or not eating meat.

On the one hand, some  think that eating meat is necessary to our diet. Meat gives us essential proteins and vitamins. Eating meat is natural because we are omnivorous and all animals follow the cycle of  life.

On the other hand, some people think that eating meat is not essential because there are tablets that gives us the proteins and vitamins of the meat. The animals are raised on farms where they live in very small cages and they are fattened to get fat.

To sum up, I agree with eating meat because it is essential for us,  but I don´t like the fact the animals are raised on farms where they live in inhuman conditions, it is morally wrong. I think the animals have to live in freedom and they must not live in a cage.

My favourite song

I haven´t favourite songs but there are two song I like a lot are:

Sunday, Bloody Sunday, this song was composed by the Irish rock band U2. Bono is the singer and they are internationally known. This song describes the horror of so-called Bloody Sunday of 1972 in Northern Ireland when fourteen people were killed. The band wanted to give an anti-violence message, the song is one of the best songs of political protest.

´The sound of silence´, this song is of Simon and Garfunkel, a duo of folk rock very popular in the sixties. It appears in the film ´The Graduate´.
