English music is not my favourite, but there are some songs I really love because they are so romantic and thrilling. Many of them are Beatles' songs although their lyrics are very eccentrics sometimes.
Can someone tell me what's "Jai guru deva om"?
But the best song I know is “Soulstorm” by Patrice.
He is an Afro-German singer-songwriter. Patrice sings reggae and I love reggae,
but it is the only style I prefer to hear it in English; because in Spanish, reggae
singers usually talk about drugs and are very influenced by rap, instead
Patrice is influenced by Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan.
This is his
best song for me:
Now were walking down an alley
Now Im talking spiritually
We got one eye on the future
and the other on our money
And all our feeling goes dead,
when we switch on that channel.
So over fed with the terrible flannel
Try to switch off my head
Use my soul instead
So Ill get ahead of these things
I said
Theres a soul
Soul
A soulstorm everywhere
Its a everywhere
Everywhere
A soulstorm everywhere
I was taught that talk is cheap
and I have learned that love is deep
God gave me my soul to keep
So I talk love a whole big heap
And I will not point a finger
for it is timeless and will linger
I keep my own words down
so I wont drown
Repeat one more time, don't hinder
Some people might be wondering
Is his head in the clouds
and no ground under him
What the so and sos he on about
So Ill just break it down, down (no doubt)
I got up out of bed one misty morning
Found myself sitting there and brainstorming
About how to be true without being corny
Do some soulsstorming
Must be the benefit of the global warming
I realised that there aint no harm in
Planting soul and a little farming
Do some soul farming
Soul
