A summer job.

Dear Pilar,

I'm Rocío, I'm 17 years old and I'm studying Bachillerato. I'm writing in response to the advertisement for a person to take care of young children which appeared in a newspaper on 1 June 2013. I would like to be considered for the position and enclose my CV.

I think I'm the right person for this job because I have had other jobs to take care of young children. When I was 15 worked looking after a boy and his little sister. I have worked in this job for one year. Their mum was very happy with my job.

I am patient, I treat children as my mom taught me , I am organized and hard-working. I would also describe myself as very humble and cheerful: I am the perfect clown to make children laugh. I love children and they love me.

I'm available from the month of July. I really love this job and I would be happy to attend an interview. I look foward to hearing from you soon.

Your sincerely,

Rocío.

A summer job.

Dear Pilar,

I am Fátima  and I am 17 years old.
I’m writing to you because I am interested in the job of taking care of young children.
I think that I am the appropriate person, because I love little children, I enjoy so much working with them, and I am very patient, and I love playing with them as I was little too.

I have so much experience of taking care of children, because my parents have many friends with little kids and they always call me when they have to go and need someone to stay with the kids. I also have a baby nephew, he is 3 months old and he is always very calm when I am with him. My parents always tell me that I am like Wendy in Peter Pan, because I do not want to grow up.

I have planned many activities to do with them, like playing hide and seek, painting, playing football with the boys and Princes and Princesses with the girls, watching Disney movies, playing Daddies and Mommies, wearing costumes and making plays... We can go to the kid's swimming pool, play with water balloons, etc.

I am sure they will not forget me because we will have much fun and they will miss me when I am gone.
I would like to know the timetable and the salary.
You would be making me a great favour if you gave me the job because I need money for university and I would be very grateful.
Yours sincerely.
Fátima

A summer job

Dear Pilar,
I am David García, I am 17 and I am a student of 1º Bachillerato at Padre Manjón in Grenade. I would like to apply for the post a lifeguard.
I don’t have any experience about it, but last year I safe a child in a swimming pool. I am sure that I am suitable for the post because I am very responsible, attentive, brave, sportsman and I love the sea.

I don’t see it as job is a hobby for me, being at the beach every summer, with the sun and sea would be fantastic for me. If is necessary I can also give swimming classes, teach children fish, do excursions to the beach, ride a bike, organized sports competition… I have a lot of ideas and I think I can do the job perfectly, please considered me to the post and answer me as soon as possible. Thank you very much, David García

A summer job.

Dear Pilar,
I am Elena, I am  16 years old and I'm studying first of Bachillerato at a  high school. I'd like to apply for the post of  free time monitor with young children.
I am suitable for the post because I am really responsible, quiet, sensible and patient, but also lively and encouraging and I really love being with children.
I have three little siblings and many little cousins too, and I have  taken care of them hundreds of times, They really love me, because I have almost brought them up
If I got the job, I could do many activities with the children: costume parties - I would make the costumes myself and make the children up;  we could do some drawing activities and contests, performances - It may seem hard to make plays with little children, but they have so much fun and end up playing lovely performances.
I could also teach them some child songs and dances, both boys and girls enjoy it.
We would watch some films too - in English, so that they enjoy and learn at the same time.
It's summer, so I could take them to a children swimming pool, where they would have a great time without any risk or we could play water balloon games.
They could also sleep siesta or cook some cakes or biscuits with me - it can be really fun.
We also could go to the zoo one day - children love animals and they may learn a lot there.
As you can see, I have a lot of experience with children, and many plans and activities to do with them; that's why I would like to be considered for the post. I also would like to know how much the pay is, or the timetable.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Elena

A summer job

Hello!
I am interested in the job of taking care of young children.
I am interested because I need money for this summer and because I would like to work with children in the future.
I think I am appropriate for the job because I am responsible and I could do a lot of things with the children, like costumes for a play, do games in the swimming pool, play hide and seek. I am sure the children will not get bored with me.
And if it is a bad day and it is raining we could play some instruments
,or we could draw or I can tell them some stories
I am patient, funny but a little bit serious at the same time, so I can take control of every situation.
And how much is the pay?
I am available all the summer and I would like you to consider me for the job
Thank you  very much

Alba

I live alone and I do not have many responsibilities.
I would also like to know how much the pay is.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon,

A summer job.

Dear Pilar,

I am writing in response to the advertisement for a grave digger. This summer I want to work and this is the most interesting job that I could find. I think I am the most appropriate for this job because I have experience with dead people. I worked in a mortuary last summer. I had to make up the dead for their burials.

I have the appropriate qualities too. I hate people who are alive and I don't feel sad when somebody is dead. I feel curiosity about murderers' minds and I think I could kill somebody if I had to do. Therefore, I won't cry when I have to bury somebody.

I think I am the perfect person for this job and I would be happy to attend an interview.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Your sincerely,

Carmen
