Germany.

Germany is a federal parliamentary republic in western-central Europe. The country consists of 16 states, and its capital and largest city is Berlin. Germany is the most powerful country in politics and economy of the European continent. Strictly speaking, Germany did not exist as a state until 1871.The history of Germany as a country begins in 1871 at the inception of the German Empire. Previously, what we know as Germany was a group of states of the Holy Roman Germanic Empire. The Chancellor of this republic is Angela Merkel since 2005, and the president, Joachim Gauck since 2012.

German classical music is very important. Some of the world's most well-known composers are or were from Germany, including Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.

Recognised native minority languages in Germany are Danish, Low German, Sorbian, Romany, and Frisian.

German cuisine is also very important. The most important german products are the sausages and the beer.

Twenty-seven million Germans are members of a sports club and an additional twelve million pursue sports individually. Germany is one of the leading motor sports countries in the world.

Constructors like BMW and Mercedes are prominent manufacturers in motor sport.

The Bundesliga, the top league of German football, is the most popular sports league in Germany.
